Gujarat Gas Limited(GCL) is a goverment company u/s 2(45) of companies Act 2013.Gujarat Gas Limited(GCL) Formely Known as GSPC Distribution Networks Limited(GDNL).Gujarat Gas Limited is an india based company which is engaged in the natural gas business in india.Its natural gas business involves distribution of gas from sources of supply to centers of demand and to the end customers.The company is engaged in supply distribution,trading in natural gas,Liquefied Petroleum Gas(LPG),city gas distribution,purchase,Compressed Natural Gas(CNG),include sale,and other gaseous form through trucks/trains,pipeline or such other suitable mode for transportation/distribution of natural gas,LPG,CNG,LPG and other gaseouse form.The company supplies piped natural gas for domestic usage to around 18.89 lakh households across its operating locations.It has 27 city gas distribution licence spread across 43 districts in six states and one union territory across the states of maharashtra,haryana,madhya pradesh,gujarat,rajasthan and the union territory of dadra & nagar haveli.The company has recieved BusinessToday’s best CEO award 2021 in the emerging companies category and best CEO award 2020 in oil & gas category.It has also received Business Standard 2020 STAR PSU AWARD.GGL has recently received Supply Chain Champions award in Oil & Gas industry category by India Supply Chain Management(ISCM) in 9th edition of its annual rankings.The company has successfully comisssioned the country’s first pilot project of blending green hydrogen with piped natural gas for the domestic customers on collaboration with NTPC.GGL has received several accolades in the past.gujarat gas was adjudged as the “STAR PSU OF YEAR” at the economic times energy leadrship award 2022.The company was ranked 1st in the “ESG” investor relation program and investor relation professional in the power (Electric,gas & water) sectors in sell side voters in 2022 asia(Ex-japan) executive team ranking by institutional investor.It was also recorgnised as an Honored Company and ranked 3rd for the Best Investor Relations Program in the energy sector across Asia(ex-japan & mainland china) by institutional investor in the 2021 all asia (ex-japan) Executive team ranking.
